Here at Griffith College, we want more second-level students to learn about and consider careers in the growing industry of creative media.

To achieve this we have launched, for the third year, our Creative Bursary in partnership with the Institute of Advertising Practitioners Ireland (IAPI). The aim of the bursary is to encourage students to participate in creative projects at an early stage and as such open their eyes to this viable career path.

Help Griffith College celebrate its 50th anniversary and win a share of the €10,000 bursary for your school.

The Journalism and Media Communications Faculty at Griffith College together with the Institute of Advertising Practitioners Ireland (IAPI) invites secondary school students to enter our 2023-24 Creative Bursary. Griffith College will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024 and to commemorate this milestone, this year’s competition will reflect the ever-changing nature of the college learning experience.

The Bursary aims to inspire young people to consider careers in creative advertising. The €10,000 goes towards improving the winning schools' art departments, investing in equipment and projects to develop students' creative skills. IAPI member agencies will also provide students from the winning school with an experiential opportunity, inside some of Ireland’s leading advertising agencies.

This year’s competition asks students to imagine the university of 2050. What would the classroom, the library, the shared study spaces, the campus of the future look like? Over the last 50 years, Griffith College has always prioritised the learning experience of students. The College has been at the cutting edge of enhancing the teaching and learning experience.

How would you imagine the student experience of 2050 to be? The execution should be in the form of a poster and video advertisement promoting a college of the future.

Submission Guidelines

Your concept should be seen as part of a creative campaign for any media, including newspapers and magazines, TV adverts, and social media such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

The classroom and college learning experience has fundamentally changed over the last 50 years. What could it be in 2050? What will the learning experience in Griffith be in 2050? Contact schools@griffith.ie for application forms.

Once the concept has been decided on (the wording/artwork videos) your creative campaign can be executed for any media, including newspapers and magazines, TV adverts, and social media (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) etc.
